EvAU 2020-21 Exam with ANSWERS

Tips to pass English EvAU exam

Hi! You're about to do the EvAU exam or maybe you have just began 2ºBach,well... I must tell you that having great marks in the English exam is easier than it may seem. Practice is the name of the game. Read the following tips so you can improve your level and perform incredibly well in the exam.

1. Read something in English EVERY SINGLE DAY.

Reading is the first thing you will see in the exam. As you can see in the real exams we have in the blog, you will have to read a text about many different topics: current issues, curiosities, something about history, science, etc. The best way to improve your reading skill is READ, READ, READ. I promise that if you read a litlle bit of English (15-20 minutes) everyday you will, for sure, get to the next level.

Here you have two useful webs where you can read something different everyday.

2. Watch something in English as much as you can.

Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, HBO... Do you have all these incredible tools at home and you are still watching the movies and series in Spanish?!

Please, make yourself a favour and turn the audio of every single thing you watch to original version. If the time you spend watching a series you do it in English, apart from watching and listening how the actors really act, you will improve your listening skills, as well as the vocabulary if you also read English subtitles.

3. Revise your weak Grammar points.

Now that you follow this blog you don't have any excuse not to master grammar. In the exam you can find anything from verb tenses to Reported Speech or Passive Voice. Again practice is the key to success, so start doing some practice everyday (20 minutes is more than enough) and be aware of you most common mistake in order to solve them. 4. Write something in English everyday.

The more you write, the easier it is going to be for you to write the composition in the exam. First, try to write at least 5 o 7 sentences in English everyday, later try to write longer texts, maybe you discover that you love writing, but the most important thing is that you are going to start using all the English that you have stored in your brain all these years.

5. Do previous exams.

To be ready the day of the exam it is very important to have real practice, so try to do as many exams as you can, because this will make you feel more relaxed the day of the exam since you know what you are about to face.

You can practice here, here and here.

6. READ ALL THE QUESTIONS PROPERLY THE DAY OF THE EXAM.

Do you remember the first tip that I gave you? Yes, it was about reading. Now it is your time to show that you can read and understand any task you are required to do in the exam.

GOOD LUCK EVERYBODY!!
